These Are the People I Hang With

The weather was so nice Friday we decided to take a trip to the zoo.  Brewer and Cole both sported their hats.  I somehow convinced them that it was too hot to wear them in the zoo though. There were lots of animals out.

Brewer and Cole didn't really stop running long enough to look at them though.

Hadley loved looking at the animals.

She did have a little trouble keeping up with the boys though!

I love listening to these two talk.  HILARIOUS!

Hadley kept saying this huge turtle was going to bite her.  He does look like he might be able to swallow her whole! All three kids loved the playground.
And I know I'm partial, because he's my little brother, but Bud is an amazing dad.
I love watching him with his kids.

As we were leaving Brewer realized we didn't see the elephants.  Maybe it was because he was exhausted from running all over the zoo, but he was a little dramatic about how disappointed he was about not seeing them.  He was following Bud yelling, "You ruined my whole day!"  Bud didn't even turn around.  I was laughing hysterically!

Brewer's day may have been ruined, but I always love hangin' with these guys!

Addicted to Thomas

This is proof that Thomas the Train can dork up even the cutest kid.  Nana got him this hat that he loves to wear, even in 80 degree weather.

Then, the other night he found these pajamas in his drawer.  They are 2 sizes too small.  Still...he thinks he looks cool.

Piece of Cake

I forgot to post these back in January!  I stayed the night at Mom and Dad's to watch the kids while they went to visit Justin.

They played with their new Kindles and Cole wrestled with Blake.  In fact he would wait at Blake's door until he came out (usually just to go to the bathroom) and Cole would say, "Hey Blake, wanna westle?"  Blake never turned him down.

Char got some new bakeware for Christmas and I asked if she wanted to bake a cake.  Then she invited the boys to help. She's nicer than I am.  I would not have chose for them to be included!

She was patient with them and let them help.

Their favorite part was licking the bowl.  Who am I kidding...that's my favorite part too!The finished product looked pretty good.  We made two.  One for us to enjoy and one as a "Welcome Home" gift for Mom and Dad.
They weren't even gone one night, but Char was excited to have them back. Charity only got upset with me one time but she yelled, "I can't wait for my mom and dad to get back because I'm going to tell them to make me a new sister!"

It's always fun to relax at Nana and Papa's house.

I have no doubt it's Cole and Zoe's favorite place to be!

Girls' Night!

A couple of weeks ago we went out to celebrate Lindsay, Liz, and Tiffany's birthday.  We went to Pinot's Pallete.  We painted, laughed, and had a great time!

I'm not only the oldest one in our group, but also the shortest!  I tried to take this picture of me and Lindsay.  Oops.

We were given step by step instructions on how to paint a tree.

Mostly it was just great to belly laugh, talk, and hang out with the girls.

Jamie looks scared of me in this picture!  I do seem a little creepy, snuggled in behind her!

I can't wait to do it again!  It was a blast!
