Go Pokes!

Brad got a call this morning from a coworker asking if we wanted 4 tickets to the OSU football game today! We were thrilled to get the chance to go, so we loaded up and headed to Stillwater.
We arrived about an hour and half before the game started.  We had a great parking spot and seats in the 11th row!
 It was perfect football weather.

We waited outside the gates for about a half hour.
Cole wasn't very patient.

We actually ran into the Welborns while we were waiting.  It was a little awkward because their whole family was dressed in K-State gear.  We got Kendell and Zoe together for a picture anyway!

Standing outside the gate became frustrating for one of us, so we went in the gift shop.  Cole found a few things he wanted.  We didn't get them because they cost too much...and he looked like a goofball.

The moment finally arrived to go into the stadium.  Cole didn't know what to expect because he had never been before.

It was priceless to see his face.  He was in awe!

We found our seats.  They were awesome! The team and cheerleaders were both warming up.  Cole was sitting by me and I kept telling him to watch the cheerleaders' stunts.
After that Brad asked Cole to move down by him.

Cole was especially amazed by how high the players kicked the ball.

Taya and Judd's Stanleys came with us to the game.  I think they enjoyed it, although they didn't say much.

We were one of the first families there, but it filled up fast.  59,000 people joined us!

The game was fun!  I love the cheerleaders, pom girls, band, and all the yelling and cheering!

It was a great atmosphere.

I only embarrassed Zoe a couple of times with my cheering.
She took this picture.  The guy behind me was cracking me up with all of his comments.  I can't repeat most of them.  My favorite was when he yelled, "You should have caught that!  The lady beside me could have caught that!"  Notice the lady beside him is an elderly woman who had a cane.  Even though they didn't know each other, she didn't seem offended.

That's the lady, again, behind Zoe.

Cole was asking if the game was over during the 1st quarter.
As he was turned around pouting, the same guy got fired up and grabbed Cole's head and said, "Hey Cotton Top, you could've caught that! We need you on the field!"  Zoe and I both thought he was going to punch the guy, but he just gave him a dirty look.

It was a very exciting game!
Cole walked around a little with Brad during half time and got a snack and seemed better during the 2nd half of the game.

He even became friends with the guy behind us, who at first annoyed him.

During the 4th quarter he seemed to be trying to figure out the game.
Then he turned around and asked Zoe which color we were.  YIKES!

It was great to be there, especially the four of us together!

AND the Cowboys pulled off a win!

Way to go Pokes!

Go Uncle Blake!

Last night Zoe, Cole, and I picked Brad up after work and headed to Seneca for Blake's football game. He's a freshman this year and plays on the JV team.

It was fun to watch him play and cheer for him!

He played really well and Seneca won 14-0!

It was also fun to see everyone and catch up!

I know I'm a little partial, but Blake is so adorable!

Cole and Zoe enjoyed seeing their friends too.

I took a picture of me and Judd (too bad his eyes are closed) and then Boston wanted a picture too!

We waited around and got to see Blake after the game. He hugged us and wiped his sweaty jersey on our face.  Fifteen year old boys are gross.

It was a quick trip, but I always love hanging out with family and friends and I'm glad we got to watch Blake play!
