Last Few Days of School

The end of the school year is always packed full of great activities.  One day the kids dressed up and did some fun things for Oklahoma Days.

Field Day was windy, but fun.

We also went to Brady's Kindergarten Graduation.  It was so cute! Somehow, though, I didn't actually get a picture of Brady!

Hads posed for some pictures with Zoe one day before school.

Zoe and her friends earned some great awards at the Awards Ceremony. 

She has some sweet friends. 

Her friend, Riley, won a chance to play paint Twister with the 3rd grade teachers and chose Zoe and a couple of other girls to play with her. 

 

 

They had a blast, but were soaked in paint!

On the last day of school they had Big Bash.  They played on inflatables and ate snacks.

  Zoe had a really great year, but she is excited for summer!

Church Picnic

We had a church picnic on May 5th.  It was freezing!  Bobby was sick and so the Reeds weren't there. 

 

It was killing Liz to miss it, so she asked Lindsay and I to send her pictures of the picnic.

So of course, I just sent her a lot of pictures of me and Lindsay posing in silly ways.

 

I think she liked it!

Everyone seemed to have a good time.  Maybe next year it will be warmer!

Mother's Day

On Mother's Day we went to Seneca and had family fun there and then headed to Neosho to see Pat!

It was a really great day and I always enjoying seeing everyone. 

Blue Bell Tour

We went with a group of friends this morning and toured the Blue Bell Ice Cream plant. 

It was really interesting.

 We also got a scoop of ice cream at the end of the tour!

The Great Outdoors

These are some pictures of some fun we've had outdoors this Spring.

 Cole and Brewer love going on bike rides.  They found this puddle and had a blast.

 They went to the end of the sidewalk and then Brewer wanted to go "investigate".  Cole tried to warn him that there may be pirates, but Brewer made Cole feel better by telling him if they saw any he would punch them in the face. 

 They walked for a little while until I yelled and told them to come back because it was just someone else's backyard.  Then, Brewer yelled, "Run Cole, before they call the cops!"

They investigated a little more until Brewer said there may be snakes and then Cole announced, "I'm outta here!"

One other afternoon we took Hadley with us and went around the loop.

We stopped to look at some ant hills.  I bent down with the boys telling them about how all those little ants work together to make their home and how it must take them a long time.  Then, out of nowhere, Hadley comes over and stomps on the anthill and smiles.  So much for my teachable moment.

We also watched a cement truck before heading back home.

As I was watering the flowers, I made the mistake of laying the hose down.  Brewer grabbed it and soaked us all.

Cole and I have enjoyed some time at the park too.

The fact that he LOVES to get dirty, but HATES taking a bath is becoming a problem.

One of our favorite activities is going to the nature trails for a walk in the woods. 

The boys usually run the entire first half and whine about how tired they are the second half.

Bud tried showing Hadley some turtles, but I'm not sure she ever really saw them.

 Bike riding to the fish pond at the entrance of our neighborhood still seems to be the boys' favorite thing to do though.

Brewer likes to make wishes.  Here he's wishing that Cole could have a hundred and thousand sleepovers with him.

Cole only agrees to sleepover if I go with him.

They looked at this puddle for a long time after I told them, "If you jump in that water, we'll have to go home."  Cole admitted that he was thinking about doing it anyway.   They both chose not to jump in, I was kind of surprised.

Zoe and Hayden made up a cute dance routine in the backyard one evening.

And I would like to say that Cole enjoyed playing tball this year...but this is all he did at the practices.

I am glad the weather is getting warmer though and we can do lots of fun things outside!
