Fun at the Park

I took two of my favorite blondies to the park today.
 The weather was so nice.

First they played in the sand with Cole's dump trucks.

Then they played on the swings for a little while.

They picked me a few flowers.

Later, they headed over to the play equipment and climbed and played Hide and Seek.

Then we found an unusual bug and Cole and Hadley chased it around.

They kept trying to get in to climb on their sticks.  Poor bug.

Finally we loaded up to head back home.  Hadley found Cole's Etch a Sketch in the back seat and kept saying, "This is broken, it won't turn on!"They took a quick bath when we got home, had a snack and watched some TV.  It was a fun afternoon!

Quirky

Cole's first school picture.  He said he doesn't show his teeth when he smiles because it just looks "goofy".
Also he holds his nose when we go into Bath and Body Works.  Hopefully the workers there aren't offended.
Have I mentioned before how much he reminds me of my dad?

Six and a Half Years Later

When Zoe was in PreK, and asked to make a poster telling about herself,  I proudly printed about 50 pictures, neatly trimmed them, and glued them in a collage around the posterboard.  I cut the letters of her name out of construction paper and let her color the letters (you know, to make her feel like she did some of the work).

Now it's Cole's turn to make a poster to tell about himself.  He really didn't want me to have any part of it.  He colored a couple of Thomas the train pictures and put them on the poster with Thomas stickers.
I told him I printed off some pictures of his family to put on there, but he just patted me and sweetly said, "That's a good idea Mom, but I don't think it needs them."

I gave him a little bit of a guilt trip and he did put Brad and Zoe and I on the board.  The cousins and grandparents didn't make the cut.
6 1/2 years ago I might have felt like I was the one being judged on this project, but today I'm just glad Cole wanted to take ownership of it and do it himself.

He's really proud of it.  I wish I could be a fly on the wall when he presents it to his class!

Grayson's Birthday

Grayson turned 5 and we celebrated by playing miniature golf.Cole had never played before, but he loved it!

His form wasn't perfect, but he had a great time.

Those boys sped through the course!

Then we went inside, cooled off, and enjoyed cake and presents.

It was lots of fun!

Lunch Date

Mom and Dad came to Owasso and ate lunch with the grandkids!Three different lunches meant spending about an hour and a half at the school, but they seemed to enjoy it! (Yep, that's Dad's enjoyment face!)

Cole and I went too for a little while.  We always love seeing Nan and Pops!

My Love!

I simply adore Hadley!
We are basically best friends.

We do housework together...And take silly selfies.

I really can't get enough of her.

He's Got a Future

Cole and his friends have been decorating his playhouse with sidewalk chalk.
Some people might think it looks trashy, but I actually think it's pretty adorable!

If anyone needs a decorator, Cole's up for hire!
