You know we like to do things big and well, this is a big deal!
We all met at the Tulsa airport to welcome home the Stewarts and their new baby. We had matching t-shirts, signs, and balloons. The security lady got really annoyed with us, but we didn't let her steal our joy.
It didn't even steal Hadley (Cody and Alica's 2 year old) and Cole's joy, and they aren't all that joyous by nature.
We all waited and waited. Cody tracked their flight on his iPad and would yell out how much time was left every once in awhile.
We held up our signs. I commented that they chose the prettiest ones to hold the signs.
Look at Hadley with her own little sign she made!
Tripp's room is a pirate theme so we had pirate signs as well.
Finally we could see them walking down the long hallway! We were crazy, yelling and crying.
Poor Tripp should have been overwhelmed, but he really didn't seem like it.
Hopefully, spending the first few months of his life in an orphanage prepared him for the loudness and craziness of our group!
I don't think he could be any cuter! He actually looks like Steph.
We were all really proud of him.
The Nana loved having all her babies with her.
I couldn't stand it. I decided to go back to Seneca that evening to celebrate with them. I haven't seen my best friend that happy in a long time and I didn't want to miss any part of it. Addie and Mallorie came with us.
They got to see our house and we drove around Zoe's school. It was so sweet how both these precious girls went on and on about how they loved our house and Zoe's school. Mallorie asked lots of questions about Owasso and Zoe was happy to answer them. They had a great time visiting.
We didn't arrive at Steph's until about 8:30, but the whole family was there. Mom and some other people had prepared food and Steph got her sweet tea too!
This is just part of his room. Steph did the striped wall and her sister-in-law Alicia painted the treasure part. It's a really cute room.
Zoe was the only kid for a while, before Taya was born, so Steph's family treated her just like their own grandkid. They still have a special bond and love her like their own. She adores them too.
She loved Tripp. She really wanted to hold him more, but he mostly just wanted his mommy.
Looks like it was an awesome homecoming!!! So happy for them all...
ReplyDeleteVer cool! God could not have found a more amazing family for Tripp! Congrats to Steph and her family.
