It was about a 4 hour trip.
I joked that the dogs were the best travelers.
When we got there Eldon open the grill and found a rat inside! Pat and I were ready to call it quits and just forget about cooking on it, but Paula (to our huge surprise) thought we could get the rat out and clean it. She didn't actually take part in getting it out or cleaning it though! Brad and Mick took care of it!
The house was amazing.
There were stairs that went right down to the lake. That kind of made the adults (and Zoe) a little nervous at times.
When we were getting ready to leave the last day, she made a picture for Zoe that said, "Zoe i LV u". She gave it to Zoe and said, "This is so you'll remember me." I told her we wouldn't have trouble remembering her, but she added, "I'll go write my name on it, just in case."
She has a little ornery side too! She was squirting her mom with a water gun! I guess the water was a little cold!
Marsha, Alan, and Kerstin came for the first night. I miss them so much. I was glad they came and wish they could have stayed longer.
The first day, everyone was down swimming in the water and Cole was in the house with Uncle Alan and Papa Eldon. He has an old man's soul in a three year old body.
Lance will be in 5th grade next year. He is only four months older than Zoe, but the way their birthdays fall they are a grade apart in school.
It was fun hanging out with family. One evening the girls painted nails and talked. We were laughing so hard. We might have been a little tired and giddy at this point!
We went for a little hike and walked around the town.
Lance and Zoe were tired of pictures at this point of the vacation. I teased that Lance is annoyed and Zoe thinks I'm lame.
We stopped for pizza at Rod's before we headed home. Zoe's showing Sydney the mood ring she bought. I always think it's funny when Zoe gets mood jewelry. Like we can't tell what Zoe's mood is without the jewelry.
At some point in Lance and Cole's conversation Cole said, "I like Judd the bestest." Lance looked confused and asked, "Did you say you like John the Baptist?" Cole came home and is still laughing about that. In fact, he makes Brad and I reenact the conversation.
