Splash Pad and Snow Cones

Yesterday I paid Zoe $2 to organize Cole's closet.  This picture was about half way through the process. I wish I would have taken a "before" picture.

This was after she got finished.
 She is awesome!

After we worked around the house a little while, Michelle and I took the kids to the Splash Pad.

They seemed to have a really fun time.

A few times they said they were cold and would sit out for a few minutes.
Before we left, they all dried out on their towels.

After the Splash Pad, we took the kids for snow cones.

The best part was hanging out behind the snow cone cart, talking with the kids.  They're funny.
It was fun hanging with Michelle and the kids.

God is Bigger Than Monsters

I love Cole's expressions when he talks.  It was storming outside and he wanted to show me.
Wish I could freeze this age...well, most of the time!

Old Indian Trick

Pops taught Cole this "old Indian trick." He says, "Look a flying wolf!" Then hits you in the back of the head. Thanks Dad.

Nan and Pops Just Can't Get Enough

Nan and Pops just can't go very long without seeing us.  I love it.
They got here this afternoon, bought groceries, then Bud grilled for us.
It's always a lot of fun to all hang out together.

 We miss them like crazy.

It was a yummy lunch and a nice day.  We hung out and talked and watched the kids play.

We also enjoyed teasing each other.  Today we mostly made fun of Michelle and Brewer.
They all LOVE Nana and can't get enough of her.  You think it would be annoying, but she loves it.

I love seeing them, but it's always hard to say good bye.  I love them so much!

Zoe's Birthday Date With Aunt Shell

Zoe's birthday isn't until June 4th, but Michelle is going to be out of town next weekend so she took Zoe out today.  She bought her this cute, new dress for her to wear on their date!
Zoe loves hanging out with Aunt Shell and doing fun, girl things with her.  That's what she has wanted from her for Christmas and birthdays for years.

Today they got manicures and pedicures and ate lunch together, just the two of them.  I can only imagine their conversations.  They both tell really long, detailed stories.  Their moods are very similar too and they are bothered by the same stuff.  They even kind of look alike.  They are pretty funny together! Zoe adores her.

I remember when I very first met Michelle.  Bud brought her to meet the family. They lived in Columbia at the time.  They picked Zoe and I up at our house in Joplin so we could ride to Seneca together.  Zoe was 2 years old.  She had a little purse with her and Michelle asked what was in her purse.  Then Zoe pulled out a passie and an extra pair of panties.  Michelle didn't seem bothered or shocked, in fact I think that might have been when she fell in love with Zoe!
After getting their nails done and lunch they picked up Hayden and Bomber for horseback riding lessons.  Then went to Cherry Berry after the lesson.  After all that they took Cookie, the Hodge's dog, to her obedience classes.  Zoe went with Michelle and loved it.  She talked about all the dogs.

Her toes and fingers both look so cute!
Maybe I should have went along with them!
